Super-Elmar-M 18mm/f3.8 ASPH a lens with a high practical suitability for the digital M
photography.
• On all analogue Leica M models, the new lense can be used with outstanding results, the
extremely short focal length of 18mm offers fascinating new possibilities in image composition.
• Reportage scenes, landscapes and architectural photography are easily accomplished with the
LEICA Super-Elmar-M.
• The initial aperture of 3.8 can be used unrestrictedly as contrast and detail rendering are already
excellent at this setting.

Accessories
A UV/IR Filter with a new mounting has been developed for the use of the lens in combination with the
LEICA M8 models. It is placed between the lens and lens hood.
For the use of other filter types, a filter holder E77 is available, which is screwed on the lens instead of
the lens hood.
